Branch Committee

Branch Committee

The Branch Committee is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Branch. It consists of 14 members, elected each year at the AGM. Its duties include:

  • Meeting regularly with management to discuss issues as they arise
  • Leading negotiations with management
  • Organising events for members
  • Running meetings to inform members on workplace issues and seek their views
  • Overseeing membership recruitment and engagement initiatives
  • Liaising with Prospect nationally

You can find the official list of the responsibilities of the Committee and its officers in the Branch Rules. An informal list of roles on the committee can also be found on the wiki. All committee members are required to undergo training to become reps.

Check the Branch Dashboard to see what committee members are up to right now.
